Introduction Text Hi my name is Melanie and I am 30 yrs old. I have 3 children. I would like to lose this weight so i can feel better about playing outside with my kids. i have lost weight in the past and now i have gained half of it back. i would like to learn new recipes so i can try them. i do not have the support here at home so i am in great need for support here. i am hoping to be at my goal weight by christmas 2010. well iam in about week 3. i am feeling alot better. i feel that i am gaining confidence and stamina. yes i have my ups and downs but the ups are far better than the downs. i have been able to fight the temptations as i reflect back, in 2005 i was 300 pounds. my son told me i was fat, my mom asked if i was pregnant, and my father in law said i was preciously plump. all of those things were a slam to me. a huge wake up call. then within a few days i got an email from my church about them starting up a prism weight loss program. and i was excited. but the down fall was that she was meeting on a night i had to work. well things happen for a reason. it was posponed for a month. i was so determined that i started early and ate all fruits and veggies and yogurt. really got the program going. then the meeting finally started and my boss was compasionate enough to give me those nights off. so 24 weeks later i was 85 pounds down. i went from a sxz 26/28 pant to 16 and a 30/32 shirt or 4x down to xl and 18/20. i was able to keep it off until 08. when i found i was pregnant with my beautiful daughter. im not sure how much i gained. i dont remember. i left the hospital at my 200 pounds(i forgot to mention i was able to lose more making the total 100 pounds down). alizabeth was very collicy(sp) so i hardly ever got a meal in. (this sounds horrible) i would set and eat a container of icing just to feel full. well here i am setting at 255 pounds and i was really wanted to have the look back that i had. i was looking very good. i have chosen to go to sparkpeople.com casue i have read so many motivating stories. very instpirational. i started dec 28th. at first it was going to be my new years resolution but guess what i wanted to start early cause i was motivated. i know if i would have waited i wouldnt have started. here i am sitting today thanks to spark friends and the great site and challanges i am sitting at 240. i have alot more energy, stamina, will, determination than i have had in a long time. hears to a new life and a new year!!

my goals or to lose the weight and get healthy. i would like to be able to play with my kids outside. i am making short term goals i would like to be in a sz 16 by spring(im currently in a 20) long term goal: i would like to start running.im working on wii active with running to help get me started.

i am journaling my food on paper, i am playing the wii fit and biggest loser game. trying to park farther away at work and walk to the fuel center instead of driving

i am 30 yr old mother of three great kids and have been married for almost 11 yrs.
