2018 is the Year of Me as I journey towards improved health and wellness. Doing the 2018 Spring 5% Weight Loss Challenge is the perfect plan to help me work towards this goal!

My Goals:
Live a healthy fit life, NEVER quit.

I love the 5% Challenges and am focused on the 2018 Spring 5% Challenge.

2014 Summer 5% Challenge Results:

Hips: Lost 2"
BMI 25.5 just short of goal to achieve healthy range of 25

Size: 12 (from sz 14)

My Program:
100 Days of Accountability, Ongoing Chapters

Plan "Can Do" list before the start of every day.

Find positives in every day.

Doing 2017 Winter 5% Challenge Program:

Exercise 5 days for 30 min; 2 days for 10 min

Eat a healthy balanced 1200 - 1555 calories daily. 5 of 7 days will be 1400 calories or less. Holidays, family events, vacation option: max daily calories=weight x 15 calories.
No evening snacking as much as possible

Personal Information:
Happily married with 3 terrific grown boys, 4 lovely grandkids. Took an early retirement in 2009, which presented many new lifestyle changes. Have a bookkeeping business going that has me working much too much; watch 6 yr old granddaughter 2 days weekly and grandbaby the other 3 days....and still must make time for my client work, so I am very busy all of the time.

Other Information:
Enjoy time with family and friends, mini vacations, a little gardening, and when time permits reading. Recently got interested in watercolor after a class...haven't really found the time to continue this interest.

    Checking in with my accountability partner, which I've not been good about doing emoticon
    Looks like we're both holding pretty steady, inching down just a little, but very slowly. We need to amp it up, as I'm a little pokey over here, too, my friend. Walking didn't work out for me, unfortunately. I think my gait has changed since my knee replacements, as the walking routine caused foot problems to arise, so I had to stop. I'll stick to my stationary bike riding, which I really enjoy, so it's all good. Sorry we can share the walking, though. Are you keeping up?

    I have not stopped thinking about you. I have such a writer's block about writing about Lobo or any of my pets nowadays. I know it's due to my cats being so old and facing that they are leaving us. We put 18 year old Tiger to sleep a few weeks ago and 19 year old Calico to sleep two days ago. Found them when they were each 3 weeks old and they have been a part of our life ever since then. But we have to let them go eventually, no getting around that...it's still hard but we never do forget them, do we?!

    My last three geriatric cats are still doing good so I'm going to try to be more active on Spark again. I do a lot of my working out indoors though right now because we have been having 50+ mph winds more days than I ever remember in spring up here. Don't want to gain any weight eating dirt. emoticon

    Good morning, buddy! I've walked 3 days in a row now. Haven't been able to go very far yet, but I figure if I better start slow & try to go a little further each day. The weather has cooperated at least & I've enjoyed music with my walks, too. Good start, I think. Do you walk daily?
