I am a research and policy social worker. I enjoy my profession and greatly look forward to growing in my career. I feel that I need to loose weight to be more flexible and capable of handling more stress. I work with youth on the side and hope to run an after school program or maybe even a group home in the future. I need to be able to keep up with the youth and teach them how to care for themselves by taking better care of myself. I do love myself and I should take better care of myself.

I need to loose 60 pounds to be at a healthy weight. Being healthy is the number 1 reason why I am working on loosing weight.

I realized a few years ago how bad I needed to loose weight when:
*I saw myself in a picture,
*I started aching in my legs,
*I started having constant acid reflux,
*I was out of breath when only walking a short distance,
*I realized all of my mom's ailgments can be solved by
loosing weight,
*I saw bigger people eating fries and I figured I looked
like that
*My cholesterol was too high
*I could not fit my clothes anymore without looking
slouchy or them being too tight
*I got on a rollercoaster and it was a little tight
*I woke up every morning with a back ache

Through all of this I hope to run a few 5k, marathon, and 1/2 marathons.
I hope to build my confidence and inspire others.
I hope to reduce my self-diagnosed depression.
I hope to meet someone to love for the rest of my life.
I hope to fall in love with myself.
I hope to sleep better.
I hope to make my doctor very proud of me.
I hope to fit into smaller clothes.
I hope to learn new things about myself.

I have joined Dr. Ian's 50 Million pound challenge. I am on a journey to work the 4-day diet plan and hopefully develop healthy eating habits I can truly live with daily.

~Buy a swimsuit and wear it without shame

~run a half marathon in 2012

~ RUN MY FIRST 1/2 marathon for APRIL 28, 2012

~ plan on training and running the full marathon some day.

My Program:

less - no soda

less sweets

less white food

less - no fast food

less - no fried food

wheat pasta

No eating ‘til my stomach explodes. Stop when I am full.

No eating after 9:30pm

No eating and lying down

Personal Information:
I am a wonderful 36 year old single professional woman. I work with youth groups and nonprofit agencies. I enjoy cartoons, sports, a good book, and my man. I support local black businesses and daring people stepping out on faith doing their own thing.

Other Information:
I am working on not only my weight but my personality, social skills, and career ambitions. I am working on being more vocal and building leadership skills.
