Hi there. Saw your post in the thread, came by to give you a slug in the arm for getting your scale to budge in the right direction, great work. It is the best feeling, I personally haven't had it since I started but knowing it is working for you makes me hopeful

    See ya in the threads

Hello... My story is similar to yours except I was able to eat anything and maintain a great figure until I hit menopause. We have 4 children and was able to lose the weight after each pregnancy pretty easily. When menopause hit I gradually gained weight and at 59 needed to lose close to 50 pounds. It seemed an impossible task as it dropped off so slowly as compared to my previous years. Have now lost 30 pounds though and am a firm believer in SparkPeople lifestyle change and all the site has to offer to support good nutrition, exercise, and positive emphasis on making small changes and adding small goals that eventually become second nature.

Wish to offer my support for your efforts and tell you that you really can get it done... Even when I exceed my calorie range, I find that it is not by much and am so much more aware of what I eat and whether I exercise, that just don't stray far from the SparkPeople lifestyle change have in place for myself. Best wishes for your success...

I had the same problem growing up/I could eat two banana splits and not worry about gaining weight.I got pregnant with my first almost 20 years ago and haven't been able to lose.I was actually underweight when I got pregnant. Now I look at a cookie and seem to gain weight.I haven't really started on a set plan yet,I'm having surgery next month and the doc told me to wait until then so there would be no interuption on the way to my goal of losing 75Lbs.
