Hi, Thanks for visiting my page. I live near Calgary, Alberta Canada on a small ranch where we have cattle, a feral cat and several thoroughbred horses that are on a race track all summer. The cat has it best though, all she needs to do is keep the mouse population down and if she feels lazy she doesn't even have to do that cause she has a self feeder and waterer!!! .
Gardening, playing computer games and oh yes reading are some of my favorite things to do. Love the outdoors and my house sure looks like it in summer!!! Life is grand.

I am horribly addicted to sugar. Once I start eating that demon food I just can't seem to quit so my weight yo yos like crazy. If only I would stay away from them I know my weight would remain more constant, I would feel better, have more energy and beat the depression that sets in when I go on one of my many binges. Does anyone see a pattern here? Sugar, depression, emotional eating, sugar . . . . . and round and round it goes.

June, 2020. We remain ever vigilant due to Covid 19. I am in a depressed state of mind, probably because of the isolation plus DH's health continues on the decline because of Diabetes and all it's side effects, including kidney disease which is being closely monitored as his function is now down to 10% (which is up from last month's 8%) My weight has gone up since the Spring Challenge but I'm back for the Summer Challenge after having done the In between Challenge - well sort of!!

I too find that housework suffers the more I am on the computer. You obviously have more will power than I do. My only saving grace is that laptop belongs to daughter and she limits my use when she is at home.

Thanks for the new pedometer (Spark Goodie). I can't tell you how much I love those little things. My first year or so on SP I had no idea what to do with them plus I only had SparkGuy as a friend (I really had a lot to learn about the program) so I would give myself little Spark Goodies. I have several yoga mats but have yet to purchase one for real. Ha ha. I really like the idea of doing yoga but can't seem to motivate myself to do any form of exercise except walk and bike. Once the really cold weather arrives the bike will assume it's position on the balcony for the winter. Thanks again. Hope you are doing well. You have obviously figured out this program A LOT quicker than I did. Smart lady.

There's another thing we have in common . . . I too love being outdoors. Do you remember how dreadfully cold Manitoba winters can be? I am sooooooo not looking forward to it. Was out to Birds Hill Park yesterday and some of the leaves are already turning yellow/brown. It's raining here today so no outdoor activity planned. Hope you have a great weekend. I have added you as a Spark Friend.
