Hi, Thanks for visiting my page. I live near Calgary, Alberta Canada on a small ranch where we have cattle, a wild cat and several thoroughbred horses that are on a race track all summer. The cat has it best though, all she needs to do is keep the mouse population down and if she feels lazy she doesn't even have to do that cause she has a self feeder and waterer!!! . I see her pregnant every spring but somehow never see kittens. Have no idea what that's about but would be so very happy if some would suddenly be seen playing on the lawn!!! Gardening, taking pictures and oh yes reading are some of my favorite things to do. Love the outdoors and my house sure looks like it in summer!!! Life is grand.

I became an Avon Rep in the summer of 2018 but that has slowly dwindled to nil. Haven't made any money but can say with confidence that I have lots of products!!!

Oh yes, did I mention that I am horribly addicted to sugar. Once I start eating that demon food I just can't seem to quit so my weight yo yos like crazy. If only I would stay away from them I know my weight would remain more constant, I would feel better, have more energy and beat the depression that sets in when I go on one of my many binges. Does anyone see a pattern here? Sugar, depression, emotional eating, sugar . . . . . and round and round it goes.

March 12, 2019 My efforts to lose weight have failed miserably and I'm up to the weight I was when I started SparkPeople. I haven't been tracking my food on SP for nearly a year and have started again today.

My Goals:
April 13/19 My main goal is to lose 5% on the Spring Challenge with the Rowdy Rebels. Back tracking and very rarely have a sweet treat. Allowing myself a bite of something sweet once in a while seems to be working in keeping the horrible cravings away. It will soon be gardening time. Already doing yard work so should lose weight!! Onward and upward woo hoo

July 5, 2019 I am more than glad to see the Summer 5% Challenge with Rowdy Rebels start tomorrow. I have been misbehaving in the eating department and the scale is showing it!! I almost succeeded losing 5% in the Spring Challenge but not quite. It was the closest I've ever gotten so the Summer one will be another chance to make it notwithstanding summer vacation and a wedding happening during that time.

My Program:
Need to get back to walking.
Gym trying for 3x a week cardio Stretch, balance & Flexibility exercises Like the fun of exercise classes

Thanks for the Goodie, and once I was going to take a shower and go to a funeral so I just wore my fleece PJ out to do chores, they were bright blue, and had elves all over them, and they(horses, sheep and the goats), took one look it me, and stampeded to the far end of their pen, and I think it took 2 days before they would come up when I was feeding them. Usually they were right there trying to get in the busket. It was hilarious.

Hey, Verna! Thank you for stopping by to say hello the other day. We're still sad about losing Joey, but my daughter and I had a good time yesterday volunteering for the first time at the shelter, taking the dogs for walks and cleaning their kennels. The shelter is a long drive from here (1 and a half hours), so we can't go often, but we will definitely go again and hope to find our next little sweetheart among the mostly elderly dogs that need walking over there.

I'm curious about your status feed, my dear. What kind of paper are you sick of? I'm guessing you might be drowning in paper work? Whatever it is, I hope it's over soon and you're fine!

    Take care.

Hi....thanks for stopping by. I just posted a blog, with an update, if you want to check it out. I keep trying everyday to get my strength up after the surgery. One year to recover surgeon says and is he ever right! Almost there! But, it has been a challenge...even more so lately for some reason.
Good to hear from you. Thinking of you, with winter bearing down on you. Does you horses like the winter? Didn't you just get snow?
Thankfully the hurricanes have stayed away for now. But, some systems are out there now, but some fronts are pushing them away to the east! emoticon
