MOMMATOCONNOR2003 - I just thought about something else.

If you are burning more calories them your are taking in on a consistant basis, your body is trying to store whatever your taking in because your are burning to many calories and your body till needs its nutrition.

Maybe cut bac emoticon k a little on the exercise. emoticon

    MOMTOCONNOR2003, Thank you.

10 pounds in 4 weeks is good. Everybody hits plateaus but don't given up. I gave up when I hit a plateau in 2009, the 1st time I worked this program and I so regret it. Not only did I gain back the 25 pounds I had lost but I gain more then 33 more pounds. It's not easy.

I am thinking that working out an hour a day is building muscle that weighs more then fat so that could be part of the reason you aren't loosing as much as you think you should.

I am trying to keep my meals balanced. I have a plan called the food lovers diet. With that I learned to eat the right portions of protein, fast carbs and slow carbs and I eat 3 meals a day plus a snack after breakfast, a snack after lunch and a snack after dinner.

I am exercising only 12 to 30 minutes a day and though Spark People recommends I eat 1200 to 1500 calories a day I am keeping my calories between 1000 and 1200, The closer I stay to 1000 the more I loose but am usually between 1050 and 1100. I am staying full and feel like I am always eating.

With Spark People's recommended 1200 to 1500 I would be on track to loose 2 pounds a week. I want to loose it faster so I loosing over 4 pounds a week by slight cutting back the calories to 1000 to 1200.

I think part of the trick (at least for me) is to eat something every 2 to 3 hours. Just smaller portions and mixing the right fast/slow carbs with proteins. It keeps my body in fat burning mode.

Check out Food online. It will help you get a understanding of what I am talking about. They have videos you can watch, that you can really learn from.

Today marks 3 weeks and 6 days since I started working my Spark people program.

I am super excited to announce:

I am down another 1.6 pounds for a total of 17.8 pounds lost in 3 weeks and 6 days. I will reach my 2nd goal when I loose another 2.2 pounds! WOOT WOOT!

Tomorrow I will be doing measurements and weight again. Can't wait to see if I have lost more inches anywhere.

Congrats on your loss. I lost 10 pounds in 4 weeks and have not lost anything in a week and a half. I am working out an hour a day, eating about 1400- 1500 calories a day and am stuck. I am hoping that my scale will move on Monday my weigh in day. I am 84 pounds away from my goal!

What is the food plan you where on to begin with?

Today I am 3 weeks and 3 days in.

I've lost another 1.6 pounds for a total of 16.2 pounds in 3 weeks and 3 days. Woot Woot!

I am still eating way more then before and still staying full! I can't believe how well this is working. I believe I might actually make my goals this time. When I loose the next 17.2 pounds, I will be back down to the weight I was when I first started this program in 2009, before I lost the initial 20 + pounds I had lost before, before gaining back more then 53 pounds since then.

I have been weighing myself with no clothes on. Today just to see, after I weighed myself with no clothes I put my clothes on and weighed 2 pounds more. Even then I am still under 200 pounds. I am so happy with my progress.

This is amazing to me. I really feel like I will actually meet all my goals, short and long term!
