I've been on Sparkpeople off and on since August 2010, but I recommitted just before Christmas 2012 through April of 2013 - did great and lost about 15 pounds for the year. Then I promptly went into overdrive at work and completely off balance. I have started working out again and being more conscientious about my eating habits. The balance to keep everything going is the hardest part - but I am working out 5 times a week minimum and have people to check with to keep me motivated. Oh - and having a future date fixed for an accomplishment helps too! I love the interaction of the Sparkpeople community and look forward to my journey as well as the end result! Hopefully I will be better at my interaction as I've worked on finding balance.

My Goals:
-Move from obese to overweight according to BMI

-Get to a healthy weight range (114-146)

-Have my body fat % be 16%-22%

- Run the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon (Oct. 25th, 2014)

-Run (finish) the Flying Pig Half Marathon (May 4th, 2013) - COMPLETED. TIME: 3:07:15

-Complete half marathon training in first half of 2014 - COMPLETED MAY 2014

-Complete C25K by end of 2013

My Program:
- Meal plan 1x a week

- Strength Training 3x a week in conjunction with my half maraton training plan

-Run 4x a week following my half marathon plan

- Yoga 1x a week

Completed Portions of Program:
- Half Marathon training runs 5x a week HAS BEEN COMPLETED. HALF MARATHON COMPLETED 5/4/14

- C25K - completed end of 2013

    Thanks for the blog comment. I'm incredibly grateful for Sparkpeople and tracking as I go through all this change in my life. I guarantee that I would have seen some weight changes during this time if not for keeping track of my food and activities. I am enjoying nannying and am finding that the stress level of the actual job is quite low now that I know the girls, especially compared to teaching. Watching one or two girls is no big deal compared to teaching 16 4-year-olds!

    Thanks for your thoughtful comment on my blog. I would say that maintaining for me at this point may be a bit easier than losing weight in the sense that my stress level has gone waaay down. I didn't even realize how much I was stressing about food until I didn't have to be that way anymore. Just it's tricky when I feel like I've finally found cruise control and then I hit a speed bump, ya know? But I appreciate your support on the numbers thing and am glad to find someone else who functions the same way. I feel like the uptight one around here sometimes!
