As always - Up for fun!!!
So... nine years later... Here we are in quarantine and getting fatter by the day. I've decided I'd better start my post-covid recovery now so when this is over and we get some kind of normal back, I'll be ready. Healthy, slim, strong. So... here we go!
Wow, I updated this last October and everything about it still holds true. How sad is that. Except maybe I'm winning the battle with those last seven pounds - if I can keep them off. I'm definitely going to ...
So... nine years later... Here we are in quarantine and getting fatter by the day. I've decided I'd better start my post-covid recovery now so when this is over and we get some kind of normal back, I'll be ready. Healthy, slim, strong. So... here we go!
Wow, I updated this last October and everything about it still holds true. How sad is that. Except maybe I'm winning the battle with those last seven pounds - if I can keep them off. I'm definitely going to start running again.
As part of my over all goal - To be in better shape at 50 than I was at 40 - is my smaller goal - To run a half marathon for my 50th birthday. Wa hoo!!!
And my next, smaller goal - To get this weight off before the holiday, keep it off through the holidays and through the next year. Okay, maybe not so small a goal? Stay tuned... this is going to be fun!!!

I'm still here - probably a couple of years later. Still battling those last five to seven pounds... I'm starting to run again so I feel hopeful. This time I'm also trying to do the strength training that supports my running goals. I have such a hard time staying committed to that part.
Despite popular opinion, I believe we can have the bodies we want - regardless of our age - if we're committed to working for it. I'm working on that commitment.

Lose ten pounds and then 15 more after that.
I want to be able to run a half marathon in September, 2012.
My Program:
I try for a low-calorie, well balanced vegan - diet. My net calorie target is 1,000 or so (don't freak out - that's what happens in your forties and into the fifties!!)
Personal Information:
I'm from Maryland where I live with Rob the Wonderful. Our hobbies are - apparently being reevaluated under these strange conditions.
