-start ramble-

My name is Chrissy. I like my name. I don't know why my mom chose to call me Chrissy instead of Chris or Christy (my full name is Christine) but I'm glad she did because I like Chrissy better. I moved into my own apartment. I love love love it. I have a kitten named Bastion. I don't know how I ended up with a 4 week old kitten. I wanted something fierce like a pit bull or a doberman and I somehow got a kitten. But I love him, he is a lot of company and he makes me smile every day. I love That 70's Show. I identify with Donna A LOT. I love greetings cards. I have an addiction to sending cards. I go to Hallmark a few times a month just to "look". I'm also addicted to milk. I drink way too much milk. I keep 3 gallons in the fridge at all times. I'm a biology major and I hope to teach at the college level someday. I'm a peer tutor for anatomy and physiology and nothing makes me happier than tutoring. I can be in a craptastic mood and a few hours in the Learning Center make it all better. My profile picture lies- my hair is actually curly. Weird Al is my idol and my hero. 90% of my personality is due to Al. I've seen him 5 times and met him once. I love giraffes because they have long necks and so do I. My favorite chore is laundry, but I wish the dishes did themselves. My favorite season is fall because summer is too hot and winter is too cold. I'm pale and proud- I wear SPF 60. I hate shoes. I have 3 pairs of "real" shoes but about 20 pairs of flip flops. I like to waste time on the internet so get in touch and we'll chat! AIM- u62philo

I am 22 years old. I am 5'9 and (about- I don't have a scale) 160 pounds.

When I was 16, I weighed 270 pounds.

At 18, I reached 150 pounds.

I maintained for a solid 3 years. But for the past year, I have been battling stress and depression and I've gained some. I don't know how much. At my lowest weight, my 8's were comfortable, and now my 10's are snug. I'm guessing I put on about 15 pounds. I need to buy a scale.

Anyway, I want to take about 20 pounds off. I lost 120 and I know I can lose 20. Because of the depression, I have a hard time getting motivated.

I know SP can help me though. :-)

Fitness Minutes: 200

My Goals:
Get more and more healthy every day of my life.

When I am 30, I want to be in better shape than I am now.

When I am 40, I want to be in better shape than I was at 30.

And so forth and so on.

And when I am 90- I want to be 5'9! NO OSTEOPOROSIS FOR ME!


My Program:
Cardio and strength. I just want to move for 30-60 minutes most days. That is my goal for now.

Running, and running, and running

My gym teacher telling me what a great job I was doing losing weight

Calling my grandma after every pound I lost

My friends asking what happened to my butt

Going from the largest of my friends to the smallest

Feeling free from the control of food

Fitting into my desk at school

Walking down the aisle of the school bus without having to squeeze

No longer huffing and puffing going up the stairs

Becoming the girl I am meant to be!!!!!!!!

#1 motivator... Rocky movies.

My motto is "Kick your own ass." After all, if you're not gonna do it, who is?

My two biggest problems are portion control and evening snacking. I can (easily!) eat a whole box of crackers or a pizza. And I can have a perfect, healthy day but when evening hits, I'm a snack-seeking machine. I'm working on both.

I suck at pushups. One of my short-term goals is to get really good at pushups.

I think it's important to find what you love about your body instead of focusing on what you hate. I love my boobs, my hips, my muscly calves and my long skinny hands.

It's about health and feeling good in your strong fit body, not fitting into your skinny jeans.
