I started this journey in 2008 weighing in at 271. I decided to have lap band surgery. In 2011 my band had slipped and I had it repaired. It slipped again in May of 2012 and I had it removed. On May 27 I restarted this journed and I am down a total of 57 pounds from 2008. I am following a low carb diet. On top of it all I am Type 2 diabetic and I want to get my sugars back in control.

As of today 5/1/14 I am down 81 pounds! Yay me! I am now scheduled for surgery on June 6 to remove the excess skin from my weight loss. So excited and thrilled!

On Friday June 6 I had a panniculectomy to get rid of my loose skin from losing 83 pounds! They removed 3 pounds of skin from my abdomen and this morning I go to see if I can have the drains (2) removed. I'm very excited!

My Goals:
I restarted this Journey after my lap band was removed in May 2012. So on 5/27/12 I started again. I want to lose another 35 pounds. I want to get my diabetes in check. I know I can do this!

My Program:
I am following a low carb diet, writing down everything thing that I eat.

Personal Information:
I'm from Harrisburg, PA. I work for M&T bank (23 years). I have an amazing fiance and a beautiful daughter. I love them both so much!

Other Information:
I love watching The Food Network, favorites are Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives; Unwrapped, Chopped, Giada.

Favorite movies: Bridges of Madison County, Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, and anything with Johnny Depp or Rachel McAdams
