Dec 2013: Still struggling to find my way, but I'm back on spark so maybe that is a good sign....**********************************
****************************
I recommitted to losing this weight and not giving up at the beginning of 2009. I have been on many different diets over the years, some more successful than others. This time I am trying to take a step back from the diet mentality and focus on creating a lifestyle that will uncover the fit, healthy me that is disguised under about 40 lbs. To that end, my goals are to eat clean and exercise, give my body a break when everything is sore...and be patient! That last one is tough for me, but I am working on it! I know that I will get there, I am not turning back this time!

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.

There is LOTS to do in Pittsburgh. Kennywood is a great choice for the kids (and adults if you like rides). If the weather doesn't cooperate, the Carnegie Science Center is always fun. There is also the Children's Museum and the ToonSeum (a museum dedicated to the cartoon arts). We also have the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History (they adjoin and it is one admission price for both) and the Cathedral of Learning (there are rooms dedicated to different countries where you can learn all about their culture). There are several parks and the Point (where the water fountain is that you see in many pictures).
