"I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day,
a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic
    waiting somewhere behind the morning."

Glad everything went well with your dinner. So many things in life are sad, especially when we get older. I think it is important to remember the good times. I always am grateful for the people I have known even if they are gone for the great time I would not have had if not for them. I hope I will be remembered the same too.
Wishing you and your family a very blessed Easter. I am having everyone to dinner at our new home. Can't remember if I told you but we finally bought a new home. Getting ready to plant lots and lots of flowers. many emoticon

We got 4 inches of wet, heavy snow. I shoveled it off. Back down to the cement again except for a berm of ice formed when the whole snow pack came sliding off the patio cover. But I did get a whole bunch of it chipped away. It was about 5 feet wide and 6 inches deep and is now about 18 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Hopefully Mother Nature will help me get it all off by mid-week. I have water coming in one basement window but can't really see where it's originating? I'm ready for Spring but I don't think it's in the near future. I'm not unhappy with the freeze-thaw method that is going on. If not for the refreeze at night I think we'd be in for serious flooding! Was sure surprised when I saw all that snow this morning!!
