Thank you for welcoming me to your group.
I am trying to get healthy inside and out myself.
That is the reason I joined the Transformation team.
I want to get closer to God/Lose weight at the same time.
Hope that you are doing good. Have a good night!

    Hi, Love!

Noticed you requested a little support for today...what's going on?

Speaking from my lengthy experience, I have been through the depths of hell, and the only thing I can say is that you will survive it. And, in my opinion, it is even more miserable when you have a weight problem...but I am sure that there are skinny people out there that would disagree...going through 50+ years of being obese, is something I would not wish upon my worst enemy...and I have a few people whom I wish never to see again...I was TOTALLY convinced that I would NEVER be a some-what normal weight again in my life...and here I am, almost within grasp of this goal...

I have lost my entire immediate family within the past 8 years...this has been devastating...but I have "survived"...there were times when I would have gladly given my own life to save a family member...but that is up to God, not me.

Food is fuel, not comfort...look/feel this discomfort that we have surrounded our bodies with...family is comfort, even when they are stressing you out! Some things you can do things to help your family, sometimes we can't...just the facts of life...

All I can do is pray that you can find the strength to follow your dream and escape/remove the flab that is contributing to you having some of the misery that I KEPT...I KEPT (very important) surrounding myself with...the pathetic reality is that it took my body to really start deteriorating (knees mostly) and not having any health insurance, to finally be able to apply my focus on weight loss. I sincerely hope you don't have to wait for a similar experience to motivate you.

YOU are important...you MUST take the time to attain your weight loss goal...let's face it, it's NOT doing something (eating healthy food choices) that got us to this point in our lives...don't set unrealistic goals for yourself...start simple...vow NOT to GAIN, eat intelligently, and the weight will come off...try different things, until you find what works...if you want some semi-immediate results, try going vegetarian for a couple of weeks (there are some great recipes on SP and "out there" on the web)...when I did this I really saw progress...I now only eat meat a couple of times a week and I think I feel better for this...also if you are cooking for your family, you can serve them some of your food, as a side dish, and just add the meat to their plates...just a suggestion...

I'm a movie buff...and one of my favourite quotes is from Top Gun..."I'm not going to blow sunshine up your a**, lieutenant" ...life is HARD, but God gave us the strength to accomplish any goal we set our minds to achieve...please, just don't let it take 50+ years, like I did...

Hope this helps...that was my intention...

    Peace & love!
