Updated 5/23/16

I have had challenges with being overweight since I was a teen. I was always physically active, so I was able to keep my weight at a reasonable level. When I was diagnosed in 2007 with bipolar disorder and rheumatoid arthritis I began to rapidly gain weight. I'm ready to become more fit, with the support of my team members.

When I joined Spark, I weighed 265 pounds. Over a period of three years I have managed to shed 72 pounds and maintain that weight. Currently my goal is a weight of 150 pounds. I plan to gradually take off the remaining 43 pounds over a 24 month period, with a target BMI of approximately 23, while becoming more active, increasing my physical fitness, lowering my LDL cholesterol, and keeping my pre-diabetes blood glucose levels in normal limits.

I want to thank my Spark friends for all the support you have given me.

700 and some-odd days late in responding to your post, but it wasn't deliberate. I sort of wandered off the path when I had a pretty significant relapse. I'm back on now, sort of. I've found some different coping techniques that are working, but I definitely need to get back into more healthful eating habits!

Merry Christmas to you!! Thanks for commenting on my picture. This is a group of women from Hawaii who meet once a month a local restaurant so we can connect and celebrate our common experiences and aloha. Our Christmas party is my favorite.
Glad to see you are still active on this site. I am off and on. I am using a site called My Fitness Pal to keep track of food etc. I found it to be easier to use and especially to enter recipes without having to do so much.
I am keeping well although hunkered down during this downpour!!! Glad I got in two walks yesterday!!

Oops, I was misleading. It's just that I duplicated the topic in our team. As a matter of fact, someone elsewhere recognized the gadget and gave a link which I'll post in ours now.

Here's the topic so that you can copy/paste in the address bar:
