Introduction Text I'm finally ready to do this. I'm going to stop making excuses and just do it. This is my year to get my health on track. I've been overweight my entire life and I've blamed everyone and everything (heredity, bad situations, stress), except myself. I know now it was me who got me into this mess and it's going to be me who gets me out of it.

My most obvious goal is to lose weight, but I also want to improve my health and just feel better in general. I also think I'd like to train for a 5K race. Short Term - 220 lbs by December 31, 2008 Medium Term - 190 lbs by March 31, 2009 Long Term - 165 lbs by July 1, 2009

I am just trying to make sensible choices and control portions, and exercise most days of the week.
