HI! I WAS down to 178 last spring (2009). But, I've gain back to 218. I have 2 pair of britches to wear. THAT;S ALL! I feel awful. I want to feel good again. I want the firemen that hung out of the truck wolf whislting me while walking with my boyfriend in Sundance Square to do it again! (I'm 47 years old and I had NEVER been "wolf whistled" at!....I liked it! : ) ).

Starting Monday April 19th, 2010...the day for OVERS to begin. I am re-weighing and measuring. My nephew Max is joingin me. Maybe my sister Bonnie and my nieces Jessie and Britt Ann will join us too. I am starting back with the goal of losing 10% of my body weight at a time while getting more fit.

I was 273 lbs. on a 5'6 1/2" medium frame August 2003. January 2008, I was down to 178. Mainly due to the "grace of God". I wasn't really trying, but I had gone through some TOUGH STUFF in this adventure we call life. What I did lose was all UNTONED. But, I felt fantastically better than I did! Upon the realization that I had lost 95 lbs (the size of a 4 grade child) sent me to buying new jeans and some clothes. However, after about 4 months of "celebrating", SUDDENLY the new jeans became too tight to wear. The excuses of "it's just water retention" or "they're fresh out of the dryer" just didn't work anymore. I'VE GAINED WEIGHT!!!

Just 3 days of tracking what I'd been eating....and GOOD LORD, no wonder. I should just be praising GOD that I'm not back over that 200 mark.

SparkPeople has CHANGED my life....not just for the better....for the BEST!

CAN'T WAIT to see how much better I feel when the rest of this weight comes off....more healthy and more toned!

I heard a wise woman say, "I may not be where I want to be. But GLORY TO GOD I am not where I was!!!"

My Goals:
I want to FEEL better!

I am starting work on it but setting a goal of losing 10% of my current weight and start MOVING!

I am going to teach my dog to walk on a leash. That was one of the reasons I wanted a dog...to walk me!

I am going to work with my nephew who is overcoming weight health issues as he mends an ankle broken in 2 places. He has supported me through so much. I will NOT let him down!


My Program:
I am going to begin again 4/19/10 with my nephew, Max. We are going to re-weigh and re-measure on that day. We will also discus our plan and how we can support each other.

My goal is to lose 10% of my body weight at a time. But mainly to wear clothes properly and feel comfortabe. To walk more than to and from my carand be out of breath. To tie my own shoes again without going into back spasms.



Personal Information:
Born & raised in North Central Ohio. Moved to Texas at 18. Married a Texan. We have a fantastic son (16 now)! We moved to Las Vegas, Nevada for 8 years. Moved back to Texas. Now divorced, but in a (dare I say?) "relationship" with a person who is very encouraging to anything positive that I do.

I have overcome a lot of things, by God's grace and mercy. I have decided that I WILL OVERCOME this issue of being overweight.


Other Information:
I love to laugh!

My favorite movie is "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara which is a close tie with "A Fish Called Wanda". Love the BritComs!

LOVE MUSIC!

Proud as can be of my 18 year old honor student's acceptance to Texas Wesleyan University this fall with Dean's Scholarship and a Music Scholarship (Thank you GOD!)
