I am a mother, wife, therapist, farmer and creative naturalist. I'm happier and more satisfied with my life in general more than I have ever been. I currently live a very unbalanced life. Most importantly how am I able to teach my daughters to have a healthy relationship with food and fitness, when I'm not setting a good example for them? How can I teach and counsel others on better life choices when I can't do that myself?! I strive for a healthy, holistic, balanced lifestyle. I am currently practicing mindfulness in eating, emotion control and simple living and food choices.

My Goals:
I'm going to start small this time. I am too easily discouraged by not getting to the end result "fast enough". I am going to take more time and enjoy the journey this time around and focus on staying consistent. My first major goal is to lose 8 lbs by the first of the year.

My Program:
Healthy eating:
Integrate more fruits and veggies into my diet. Eat a serving at every meal and rather than reaching for a starch, eating an extra fruit or veggie.

Goals for fitness:
1. Walk up and down the stairs of my house without getting winded
2. Integrate jogging/running into my regimen.
3. Ability to run for at least a mile.

Goals for diet:
1. Curb the sugar habit.
2. Limit processed foods.
3. Reduce sugar and starches
4. Integrate more organics.

What I do: I'm an Emergency Services Therapist in NE Ohio. Basically that means I assess risk for individuals in mental health crisis (typically this means they are suicidal). I have a Master's of Rehabilitation Counseling, am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Other Information:
I love music and the arts. I wish I had more ability in both of them, but I am more of a connoisseur. I love the outdoors and want to move somewhere with more outdoor activities sometime in the near future.
