I am mom to two boys (6 and 8). I love to run and have been running steadily for awhile now. I like to find new training schedules and stick with them as my challenge. I have run two half marathons and many 5ks and 10ks. I am always trying to lose the last 10 pounds, but I know that overall, I live a very healthy lifestyle, and I am trying to be happy with that. I have also discovered yoga and love it!

My Goals:
To lose 10 lbs.

I want to be lean and strong and improve my race times.

I want to change my eating habits and obsessions about food. I want to treat myself every once in awhile w/o feeling guilty. I don't want to be on a "diet" my whole life.

I ran 2 5Ks and 1 4 mile trail race in 2010. I want to do a 10K and maybe a half marathon in 2011. Update: I've run 2!

10 Miles - August 20 / 2011
12 Miles - April 13 / 2012
13. 1 Miles - April 28/ 2012

Update 10/2014. I was injured all last year but am back to running!

First 5K, came in 2nd in my age group.
7/3/10 4 mile trail run
9/18/10 5K 26:30 - got a medal! first in my age group! shaved almost 5 minutes off my time!
7/19/11 10K 1:12:43
First 10K race! It was longer than 10K; they adjusted for the longer distance so my pace was 9:42.
9/17/11 10K 57:17 9:14 pace
10/22/11 5K 26:11. 8:26 pace, 6th out of 119 female runners
11/2011 Big Bird 10K
56:09.9 9:03/M 10th out of 34 in my age group,

4/28/2012 First Half Marathon Let's Move Festival of Races
2 hours 6 minutes 30 sec.
30 out of 90 in my age group.

7/21/2012 Matt 25 5K
25:30 PR, 8:15 mile, 2nd in age group, got a trophy!

9/22/2012 10K GP 55:30 av. 8:51, 3rd out of 16 age group

    I hear you on the un-healthy eating choices! I've had a sweet tooth lately! Just been trying to exercise more to work it off. :) On a side note, going to talk to Dave tonight about the weekend and his working OT so I'll let you know tomorrow if I can make it Sat morning. If we had to do a little bit later would that work? This is also assuming I don't get asked to watch my niece for a bit while Kris goes into work (he owns a dry cleaners so it's hard to take much time off. :(

    Hey- In response to your comment on my blog, I'm just maintaining, I don't want to lose any more. But I'm still getting on the scale a few times a week, just to make sure that I was still staying the same....and then when I wasn't of course I got discouraged. Maybe it was eating, maybe it's the hormone in the BC, I gained 2lbs since being on it and that's the exact amount I gained with the other- and as SOON as I stopped taking, I lost it immediately. I just hate seeing that on the scale when it took me a month to lose those 2lbs, you know. But, I'm trying to ignore it and hope I can get off the BC by Jan., I don't like taking hormones anyway. This one is easier on me though, no crazy mood swings yet. I tried not to stress about the food last week, but sometimes I feel like when I do that I go overboard. I really need to find a happy balance of not caring as much, but also understanding that doesn't mean I can eat an extra portion at each meal etc. Anyway ,good luck to you at the holidays!! I know I will need it. lol :) and thanks for all the nice things you said, you are so sweet!!
