Here I go again ...
Hi! I'm Andrea! I originally joined Spark in April 2009 and have been an active member on and off since - although it seems to be more "off" lately. I have a whole host of "excuses" but reality is that I have been reluctant to admit that I gave up on myself.

Hi! I'm Andrea! I originally joined Spark in April 2009 and have been an active member on and off since - although it seems to be more "off" lately. I have a whole host of "excuses" but reality is that I have been reluctant to admit that I gave up on myself.
My weight has always been a roller coaster ride, and being an emotional eater it has fluctuated up and down over the years as my life circumstances have changed. I have found it even more challenging to lose weight since turning 50 - but I have finally come to the realization that my weight does not define me.
I have come to the decision to embrace the changes in my life and to focus more on adopting a healthy lifestyle than letting the numbers on the scale determine my happiness.
Each day is a new opportunity, starting with baby steps and building on the small accomplishments. Focusing on simply tracking what I eat, making better choices, becoming more physically active, and including some "me" time each day.
"Anyone can give up, its the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength."

~ To get out of the Obese BMI category and reach Overweight BMI of less than 29.9
~ Control GERD and other health concerns
~ Accept myself for who I am
~ Be more forgiving of myself when I slip
~ Stay positive!
My Program:
Daily tracking:
1220-1550 calories a day
Minimum 3000 steps a day
Minimum 10 minutes Strength exercises daily
Keeping a positive attitude!
Personal Information:
I live in my hometown of Richmond, Virginia, however I lived and worked in Florida for several years which I enjoyed immensely. I am a wife, mother, best friend and good listener. I am active in animal welfare and am a foster home to rescued dogs waiting for their forever home.
