Introduction Text Hi. My name is Carol. I was born in Missouri and have lived here all of my life. Welcome to my Spark Page. When I first joined SP in January '06, I weighed 185 pounds. My weight loss goal was 25 pounds. Thus, I chose the name Silver Lady. I have gained then loss so many times during these years. For awhile I just gave up even trying to lose weight, telling myself that "after all I am in my golden years it's too late in my life and I should enjoy." January '11. 5th year SparkVersary. My resolution: Time to get serious. A new resolve, a new beginning. I looked for and found Spark Team that would provide the most support. I'm taking advantage of the many benefits of Spark People. Thanks to obtainable nutrition and exercise challenges which are provided by the leaders of the team, I am taking full advantage of Spark People. I'm in my 70's now. My goal? Can you believe it --I weigh 185 pounds.! That's what I weighed when I first joined Spark People.

My primary goal is to achieve a waist measurement of less than 35 inches.

Track calories. Exercise - Strength and/or Cardio at least 5 days a week. I am finding that Chair Exercise is beneficial. Consume at least 3-5 fruits and veggies each day. Challenge myself to track, exercise, eat those F&Vs.

April, 2008 my husband and I celebrated our Golden Anniversary. I am mother to 2 daughters, grandmother to 3 grandsons. I am a retired Legal Clerk/Stenographer. I teach a Ladies' Sunday School Class.
