Hi friend, Glad you came to visit my page :) I'm sick and tired of updating this page with the same old news.. I'm back again where I started! No more grand plans! ....................... I have been through many cycles of loss and gain, the same old 20-30lbs always!! This time I have a new doctor to help me, who actually sat down with me for hours to know my history and then figure out an action plan. I hope I can manage my thyroid issues better with her help. For some reason I have become very pesimistic about this whole weight loss thing. I feel, as usual I will slog out and get few pounds down only to again it all back again...its depressing, even more when I see people here losing weight so easily! Got a fitbit flex for my birthday, according to that I'm pretty active (without any added workouts). I eat very healthy. I guess I haven't found the missing piece of puzzle just yet. I appreciate any advice on staying positive. Thanks! :) Setting short term goals... ..... Update: 1/08/2013 A Happy New Year to all! Its exactly one year since I joined back on Sparkpeople after creating a new id. In first nine months I lost close to 30 lbs and then in 3 months I gained about 20 lbs back. I can't say I am happy about all the pounds I gained back but some how I feel happy that I figured out what was going on with me every winter all these years! Who would have thought of vitamin D deficiency! Come the colder months my weight shot up like a rocket without any change in my eating habits! Along with that came the alarming hair fall, muscle spasms, awful tiredness. I thought I was going to die!! Finally after taking vit D3, I'm slowly getting better, weight is coming off slowly. Hair fall is not so much any more. I still have muscle cramps but I don't have to be afraid of laughing anymore! Now looking back its only during winter I have gained weight! It took me a long time to connect the dots! So that is it friends... Another new beginning.. ----------------------------
------------------------------ I initially joined SparkPeople back in 2006! From there it was always ups and downs. After having our 2nd baby(who is 2 now) I'm back once again, hopefully for good! I have a long way to go, but setting a goal of 50lbs for this year. Last month we got an elliptical so I'm back on track. Need all the motivation! My aim is to get rid of 50% of my current body weight. ; 1/08/2012 - 242.0 lbs 1/15/2012 - 238.6 (1.4% loss) 1/22/2012 - 236.6 (2.2% loss) 1/29/2012 - 238.4 (2.2% gain, TOM) 2/05/2012 - 235.4 (2.7 % loss) Lost 6.6lbs in one month. Gladly in 230s!! :) 2/13/2012 - 232.8 (3.8 % loss) 2/20/2012 - 232.0 (4.1% loss) 2/27/2012 - 233.0 (gain :( TOM) Looks like Feb goal is not going to be met :( February monthly goal- to be in 220s Feb goal not met! 3/06/2012 - 231.4 (4.4% loss, finally the scale is moving down!) 3/08/2012 - 228.4 (5.6% loss, awesome!!) March monthly goal - to be in 220s Lost 7 lbs this month, gladly in 220s :) 04/02/2012 - 226 (6.6% loss) This third month on spark I have lost only 2lbs, but I have regained my thighs and calf muscles by training for C25K. My knees are much stronger now. April monthly goal - to be in 210s Did not meet April goal. 05/08/2012 - 223 (7.8% loss) Lost 3lbs during the fourth month on spark. Very close 210s :) 05/31/2012 - 219.4 (9.3% loss) woohoo in 210s May goal met! June - August, taking a Spark break! Going on vacation! Will try to maintain, any loss will be a bonus.
