I'm back after being away for 9 years because I know this works! I'm tired of having calorie amnesia... thinking I can eat dessert after I've had 3,000 calories already (or eating 3,000 calories anyway)! I love the community and encouragement that SparkPeople brings. Help me in my journey!

My Goals:
My number one goal is to STOP THE INSANITY! Just kidding, it really is to stop the yo-yo dieting. I want to live healthy and stop this up and down with my weight. I'm tired of it, I just want to maintain a healthy weight.

Keeping God first in my life is number one! Every time in my life I've done that, everything falls into place with eating and exercise. When I try to do things with my own willpower, I eventually get tired and give up. But I can do all things in Him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13). I know I can make this a lasting lifestyle change as long as I keep God first, not last.

An overall healthy lifestyle is my number two goal, healthy eating and regular exercise. I want to live a life that my children will follow and pick up my good habits, not just my bad ones!

My Program:
I'm exercising 4 to 5 days a week walking my dog and lifting weights. I also like to ride my bike and swim. I'm starting to track my calories again. I know this is key because I have a serious case of calorie amnesia. I forget just how much I've eaten in one day!

Other Information:
I struggle with depression, and getting out of bed some days can be a struggle. I'm taking things one step at a time. This is a journey!
