My name is Chrissy and I am so excited to have found SparkPeople! I had RNY Gastric Bypass surgery June 10, 2009 and am changing my life forever. I will be using this site to help me track my food and exercise. I want to live an active, healthy lifestyle. I have had great success thus far. I have lost 140lbs and ran in my first 5K. My long term goals are to have a healthy BMI, and to run in the Music City Half Marathon next spring!

Fitness Minutes: 35

My Goals:
To live a happy healthy lifestyle!

Ok...let me be more specific:
1. My weight goal is to have a healthy BMI - 135lbs.
2. My fitness goal is to run in the Country Music 1/2 Marathon in the Spring of 2010.


My Program:
1. Watch my calories, protein and carb intake.
2. Take my vitamins daily.
3. Drink my water daily.
4. Work out 3-4 days/week.



Personal Information:
I am originally from West Virginia - GO MOUNTAINEERS!!! But now, I call Middle TN home. I live in the small town of Shelbyville, TN which is about 70 miles southeast of Nashville. I have a wonderful husband and two amazing step-sons.


Other Information:
I love my job!!! I am a high school science teacher. I teach Biology II and Chemistry. I have plans to get my MS in Forensic Toxicology soon.

I am also a certified theater geek! I am the Theatre Arts director at my high school as well.

I enjoy music, movies, and reading a good biography although I haven't had much time lately.

I am a sports junky! I love my Mountaineers and my Steelers!!!

    Hey girl! I drank 4 bottles of water at work today!! How did you do? I must admit I didn't do my planning period squats/lunges...had to do a purchase order for science fair awards. But...tomorrow I am doing 5 waters and 30 squats!

    Why aren't you logging your food daily?? I'm watching!!!! LOL

    Got a challenge for November for us!!! I'll do it if you do!

    1. During planning period at school--do 2 sets of squats or lunges (only takes 5 minutes!)

    2. Drink one 16 oz bottle of water every period. (For me, that is 6! That would be all the H20 I need all day!...crystal light singles are your friends!)

    Wanna do it??
