Update!!!!! 3/13/2012. I made it to Onederland Pow!!!

I joined Spark People a while back in January of 2006. At first I kept up with logging in and exercising. I was committed for a whole two months, but somewhere along the way, I fell off and haven't been back on since. Well now I'm back It's January 2011, but I'm ready for a change! I don't want another year to pass me by. I don't want to be heavy any longer. I'm looking to win this battle and change my life for the better.

It's June 2011 and I've been working hard this summer is going to be productive in my goals to meet my first goal. I have been doing pretty well and will continue to get better.


It's September 18, 2011 and even though I wasn't as consistent with my eating in August as I had been the rest of the summer, I am ready to buckle down again and get this weight lose rolling. I am now 224 pounds as of today and trying to get to 200 by Thanksgiving. Wish me luck ;-)

For most of my 35 years, I've always taken the easiest road. Sure, there's been exceptions I've worked very hard to get good grades in school and get my degree. But when it comes to things like my health, not so much.

My Program:
1. 1,400 -1,800 Calorie

2.High fiber, high protein plan.

3. Drink @ least 8 cups of H20 a day.

3. Workout 5-6 times per week.

I'm originally from NYC, but currently live in Charlotte NC.

looking for workout buddies in the Charlotte NC area for motivation and weight-loss. Yay!!!

Other Information:
I love photography and reading. I use to develop but I haven't had time recently to create. Currently my favorite book is "White lines" by Tracy Brown, and favorite movie as of this moment is Pan's Labyrinth.

I love being outdoors and I try to take a ride to the country once a month.

I'm a very funny person that loves to make people laugh and smile. I love to travel and recently got my passport.

1. A new outfit in 18 when I hit size 18.

2. Some Jewelry When I lose 60 pounds and some more when I fit in a size 16.

3. A kawi Ninja250r when I get to 180. Yes I am a beginner.

    I just wanted to post a quick Welcome to the 50 Pound Challenge TEAM. We're so glad to have you join us. Please jump in and have a good time getting healthy. This is an excited group of folks and really active team so you should be able to find all sorts of inspiration and motivation. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
