Welcome to the little corner of the world that I can call my own.

I am 45 years old and I live in North Texas.

Well as you can see I love animals. I think I have more pictures of my animals then I do of myself or anything else.

I would like to weigh around 155 lbs by August, maybe I will maybe I won't and that will be okay.

I am a work of art that is in progress and even though I may reach my goal I will still have my work cut out for me.

I am at 218 pounds.

208 pounds
first 10lbs: Going out to the movies (4/5/09)
****(Going to see The Haunting in Connecticut)****

Second 10lbs: A new Top

Third 10lbs: A new outfit to work out in

Fourth 10lbs: To get a new hair style and cut

Fifth 10lbs: A Romantic dinner with my Husband

The last 13lbs: To go on a Cruise. I never had a honeymoon so I could say that this would be mine.

These are the top 5 things that I have noticed while I am lossing some weight. This will be updated from time to time.
#1-My toes and feet got skinnerier(my toe rings are to big and my feet move around to much in there shoes) time for new shoes
#2 My fingers and wrist is smaller (my rings fit better and my watch goes round and round)
#3 When I lift my arms up over my head i can see a hour glass figure in my waist
#4 My foot doesn't hurt as much when I was heaverier
#5 I am starting to see more definition in my forearms

Sit back for a moment and think to yourself or go look in the mirror and what are the top 5 things that have changed on you since you had started this journey.

Put enough energy into something and long enough you start seeing something happen.
Well if you start practicing what this site is giving you, eventually you will see things happen. It could be that you are drinking atleast 8 glasses of water per day, or excercising, or making better food choices, ect.. What ever it is you will see things change. I was taught when I was a small child that it can take up tp 6 weeks to see a positive change and to stick with it like you have been doing it for a life time.

I don't think to much what the scale say's to me in numbers, and there is a reason for this. The scale is deceiving a lot of the times. by this I mean, 1 day you could have lost 2 pounds and then the next gain 4 pounds back. Then I will see questions on the boards on this very topic. I use to ask why. I stopped asking why and depended more on how I felt after my workout, how my clothes fit, am I eatting less but still getting in my cals. for the day, ect..

My Goals:
My long tearm goal is to weigh 150-160 lbs. by July of 2009.

Short tearm goal is to loose 1 pant size the first week of April of 2009

My Program:
I am doing 1 hour on the Epi.

I am doing 130 crunches 4-5 times a week.

I am also doing strength traing to tone up 2-3 times a week.

I love to watch movies. My husband and I will watch about 10-15 movies a month and sometimes it could be more it just depends on the time we have.

I also like to paint ceramics and to make crotched lap blankets.

    Hi friend!!!

    I have been thinking about the word CHANGE!!! I have said over and over to myself for many years I need to change something. I decided that when I am ready for a change, I work at it. When I really am getting deep at working at it I look at the definition to help my mind CHANGE!!!!

    C = Choose life
    H - happiness is one of the key's to a healthy you
    A = always plan ahead your day carefully
    N - now is the time for change
    G - go with your healthy plan right now
    E = eating healthy is very important during each and every meal

    For me: I had to change places and things in my life to steer a direction of healthy change. I had my time recently what I thought was freedom of eating everything I want, but really it is bondage!!! I am figuring out what is triggering this and freeing myself to a better life. It starts with CHANGE in my mind.

    To give and receive reciprocally; interchange: change places.
    To lay aside, abandon, or leave for another; switch: change methods; change sides.

    T - thirsty! feeling thirsty I heard is when you are already dehydrated. Keep drinking that water. I know several people who do not like water. WHAT!!!!!! Maybe a little lemon in it to give it a twist and a tang. I like mine with lime and salt. OH oops not thinking water. I do like my water with lime. Yummy. I also heard that citrus is a form of detox for good cleaning of system. I don't know how true that is. I have not done my home work on this.

    T - Tupperware. Have you ever been to a party. Although Tupperware is awesome!! and I have been known to be a customer, if you are on a budget. then the containers you can get at Wal-Mart or dollar store brands are a great method to store food planned for the week if you are a busy little bee. Just grab and go. Good freezer foods are wonderful to store.

    T - think think think!!! am I really hungry. can I make my mind listen to my body? what are the results going to be after I eat it. My mother ate something the other day that was not good for her and she felt sick after. I have low blood sugar. Sometimes when I eat bad things I get messed up all day long. I wonder why I keep putting myself in this self abuse??? It's ok for me to have a little bit every now and then, but my indulgences seem to take over. Next think I know I am only having 1 day a month of healthy eating. Yikes!!! Old habits and instant gratification.

    Hello my sweet friend!!!

    Here it is Wednesday!!! Week is already 1/2 way over. Before we know it these days keep adding up and adding up and then like me, where did my goal go. I didn't meet it back in June. That is ok, all we have is today right? But it is important to make the days add up to make a week a month and so on and son on for our healthy bodies!!! emoticon
