I have two children. I have a ton of stress, just like everyone else on this earth, I'm sure. I have lost weight in the past and have put it back on, but I've never dieted healthy. It was always a fad diet of some sort. I enoy this site immensely. Spark is very motivational and supportive, and I foresee myself doing well with this change in lifestyle (rather than a diet). Wish me luck!

My Goals:
My goals are:
1. Be healthy without the need of medication! I've already come off several pills, including a water pill :)

2. Be able to be active with my children and keep up with them! If that's even possible!

3. Help my self confidence and boost my self esteem.

4. Dodge the Diabetes bug that's rampant in my family!


My Program:
My plan is to keep my calories between 1300-1500 a day. I've committed myself to going to the gym at least 3 times a week, and on the days I don't go, I am going to try to find time to walk.



Personal Information:
I am originally from St. Louis, MO. I now live just outside of Memphis, TN and am a southern girl by heart, city raised. I love going to the lake every summer, fishing, swimming... I'm beginning to enjoy working out as well.

I love it here, the south is awesome! I love, love, love the lake and cannot wait for lake season to arrive. I also love to read, especially Chelsea Handler. She may be vulgar but she's funny.

    Hey Cheryl, welcome to Sparkpeople. I think you will really like this site. It's kind of hard to get used to inputting all your food and exercise, but it certainly gives your accountability, and good visualization of what you are doing. Good luck. I know you will do great! Let me know if you need any help. Also, Erica Torrence is also on here, and she has been a huge inspiration to me. Try to find exercise you really enjoy, and you will be more likely to stick to it.
