Losing weight now that I'm in my mid-60's is more about feeling good and staying healthy. I realize that being over-weight and inactive is an invitation to Type 2 diabetes. Since both of my sons are/were insulin dependent from childhood, I have dealt with diabetes long enough not to want it for myself.

I'm on Facebook off and on most every day. Love my Facebook buddies.

My Goals:
My goals are simply to live healthier. I want to be all that I can be. I want to live to see my grandchildren, now ages 13 and 9, have children of their own when they are old enough to want them.

I also hope to be an inspiration to others in every area of my life.

My Program:
Basically, all I'm doing right now is eating healthier and walking. I'm consciously drinking more water, which I have always loved anyhow.

Personal Information:
I'm a quirky knowledge seeker I guess, if I had to describe myself. I married as a young teen and became a teen mom. I thought it was the end of my world as I knew it, and it was. I decided to create my own world, though, and graduated high school, and began college in 1968, a year behind my classmates.
I had wanted to go into the medical field somewhere, but because of the lack of college programs I had available to me at the time, I went into education. I fit into the mold pretty well.
My first teaching position was in Shreveport, LA. I was 21 and looked 17, so you can imagine me as teacher in a 10th grade Biology classroom. LOL And in a very tough neighborhood, too.
I Stopped teaching for many years to have and raise my second child, this time at a proper age (24).
Started teaching as a full time sub once my youngest started school. Eventually found adult education, where I taught for 20 years.

Other Information:
Love can change us as individuals and individuals can work as One to change this world with that same Love.
