Been gone from SP for a few years now. Lots has changed. Working on updating my page and getting back into a routine again.

My Goals:
I need to drop a lot of weight. Last summer I was given a CPAP and my first official handout for being obese. My current BF is a photographer and is always wanting to take photos of me, but I just can't handle seeing how big I am currently. It's the biggest I've been and it keeps going up, no matter what I'm doing. The depression from it has started to effect me so it's time to take action. It's been difficult for me due to complications from fibro and other soft tissue problems I have. Sticking with my motivation and tracking is proving to be rather difficult for me too.


My Program:
About 3 months ago, I discussed my weight with my doc. I was considering a bariatric clinic for non-surgical help toward weight loss. My doc said we could try some steps without them. I've been on 50mg of Topimax and started coming off Paxil. He also sent me to aqua PT as my fibro was making even a 10 minute workout very painful for me. The aqua is great for the fibro (I can still move the next day!!). Although Paxil is a great med, I had been gaining consistently while on it; during my ramp down on it, weight has been coming off (I was ramping up on a new med simultaneously). The Topimax has helped with overeating. I have noticed the tingles in my feet and hands since I've been on it though. On a nice note though, it resolved the over sweating problems I was having (seemed to be fibro related). I follow up this week with the doc regarding the Topimax to see what his thoughts are on it. I'm obviously continuing my habits of eating lots of fruits and veggies during this too.



Personal Information:
I deal with Fibro and bipolar issues, as well as all the fun that comes with them. The meds and ever changing symptoms make routine and regulation a daily challenge. Falls and winters, when the temps change often and drastically, are the worse for me. But no one said this gig would be easy


Other Information:
I started ages ago with Sparkpeople and it was good, then I got sicker and fell off the routine. Never really got back on track. Then, my husband at the time could no longer handle my medical issues and left me. The divorce practically destroyed me and I found myself in the lowest point of my life (and almost death). Amazingly - even to me- I chose to change this. I have come back from the depths, have great friends, a dog and wonder BF now. Only been 2 yrs since the D and many things have not, nor will ever be the same, but I wouldn't want them to be. My health has actually improved since he left and I am happier. Now, I need to keep moving forward trim my physical self down
