Just a simple country girl here who is a believer and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. My name is Jean. I changed my name on tax day 2010. I thought my new name was more fitting for my goals and my lifestyle. I swim 72 laps Monday - Saturday which is a little over a mile. I love to swim and am very happy and content when I am in the pool. I should have been a mermaid!

I am ready to get my act together. I have been gathering info here and on the web for nutrition and various other topics and am finally ready to put it all into correct format and officially start this lifestyle change and start to loose these pounds forever. I am going with the loose 10% of your weight as my goals. I feel that this will be much easier to go down by 10% steps instead of looking at the massive amount of weight as a whole. I am going to lay out my steps and mark them as accomplished with the date that they were accomplished. I am very excited about this method and am very close to completing the first one very soon! So here I go...WooHoo!!!

Start at 305.5lbs, loose 30.5% - Accomplished
Next level is 275.0, loose 27.5% - Accomplished
Next level is 247.5, loose 24.5% - Accomplished
Next level is 223.0, loose 22.5% - Accomplished
Next level is 200.5, loose 20.5% - Accomplished
Next level is 180.0, loose 18.0% - Accomplished
Next level is 162.0, loose 16.5% - Accomplished
Next level is 145.5, loose 14.5% - Accomplished
Next level is 131.0, loose 5.0% - Accomplished
Final goal weight is 125 pounds - Accomplished

My Goals:
1. To have a better understanding of nutrition and how it helps my body do a better job with losing weight and keeping me healthy.

2. I would love to get my right leg and arm working normally and without as much pain so that I could be more successful in losing my excess weight.

3. To be able to play with my precious granddaughter when she starts to get into the toddler stages and beyond.

4. To get to my goal weight and possibly even lower. I'm trying to be realistic! =)

When I loose 100 lbs. I'm rewarding myself with a WII and all the good stuff that goes with it!

If I come in first overall in any BLC challenges, then I get to reward myself with a Trikke! If that does not happen before I get to goal weight, then I earn one anyway for getting to goal and being successful!!!

My Program:
I am learning with the tools from this fabulous site to be more careful about what kinds of food that I am eating, and how much of things. I am also doing more physical fitness with much more understanding than ever before. I am also receiving care at a Chiropractic Center to help me understand the different things about my body that I might be doing wrong. I look forward to learning more ways of helping my body function better!

Personal Information:
I am a Mom. My son is 26 and my daughter is 23. I'm a Grammie to my precious granddaughter named Nevaeh, which is heaven spelled backwards.

I am a "Motorcycle Momma"! That is my nickname at the hospital that I volunteer at. If I did tattoos, that would definitely be on my body somewhere. I love riding my Suzuki Burgman S 400. It is a scooter which is so easy to ride. I got my permit and book on Thursday and went back the next morning to take my test and passed and immediately went to the dealer to buy my bike and the rest is history!

I did the same thing at age 19. Saved every penny I had to pay with cash for a new '79 Ford Fiesta with a stick shift which I had never driven. My Mom took me to pick it up and I drove it home without hopping like a rabbit. I guess I was a natural! :)

Other Information:
I wasn't raised in a christian home, but even as a little girl I could feel a pulling of my heart to want to know more about a God that I had heard about, but didn't know much about Him. I had no clue as to how to find out more about him, but I did feel that I had a desire to serve him somehow. It was not until I was in the US Navy and was stationed in Rota, Spain that I started to understand things. When I first got there, there was a man who just would not leave me alone. He was in the Navy as well. He followed me everywhere. Then we became friends and he invited me to church. There my eyes were opened as to what my heart was trying to tell me. I'm so thankful that I started to attend there and sit under the Word of God. I knew that I wanted to come forward and get saved. With my desires for that being inside me for so long, I really did go forward as a little child that day. Soon after I
followed in believer's baptism. My Savior has been good to me all of my days.
