I'm a yo-yo dieter, sweet-lover, fat child, fat teen, fat young adult and emotional eater. My highest weight was nearly 270 pounds; my lowest adult weight was around 150 pounds. I have done calorie counting, Weight Watchers, and MediFast, which succeed as long as I am on the program and fail as soon as I slip up and fall off.

But I am done falling off. I am done slipping up. I want to live a "normal life" at a "normal weight". I've lived enough of my life (I'd estimate nearly 90% of my adult life) as obese/overweight, and I'm done with it. I'm done being the "Fat One" of my social group.

On May 3, 2018, a friend added me to her healthy Facebook group and that was when I began what I dub "The Last Weight Loss Journey". This time, I am gonna demolish this weight, not just lose it to be found again, and keep it off - no matter what.

Back in 2013, I learned I loved exercise - running, Spin Class, Zumba. I also like going into a store and finding cute clothes in my style and shape. But those are merely the superficial reasons I want to lose weight - I also want to be healthy for the rest of my life. Heart attacks, high blood pressure, and strokes run in my family, and I don't want that to be how I end up leaving this world. If avoiding death by heart attack means giving up donuts and french fries for the rest of my life, then so be it.

I am tired of food being in control of me; from here on, I am in control of my food. This is the Last Weight Loss Journey I will ever be on - the Buck Stops Here.
