Hello! I joined sparkpeople on July 14th 2006, along with my good friend, to lose weight for my wedding on July 7, 2007. I lost 30 lbs, weighing in at 127 on my wedding day! I never thought that I would ever be that weight ever again! I maintained my weight loss from sparkpeople for almost a year and a half.

I gave birth to my first child and put on 50 lbs during the pregnancy. Thank goodness for sparkpeople! I lost all of my baby weight and more in order to be in my best friend's wedding.

I gave birth to my second son on May 26, 2013. It took a bit longer this time, but I did eventually lose all of the weight I gained for my sister's wedding in October 2015.

Well...winter months took their toll. I am ready to get back to my more comfortable weight...My goal is to be down 15 lbs by
August. Logging in will definitely help! I know I can do this, but would love to have a teammate to go along for the ride.

    I did! I ended up boiling chicken, sauteeing some red pepper, red onion and zucchini from the farmer's market and tossing it all with some wild rice. It was great!! My tomato sauce looked funny so I decided I'll have to keep my squash for a night when I can make some fresh. :-(

    Kellan had a great night last night, too. Our SLP has suggesting adding olive oil to his purees & chicken. The chicken I boiled last night I'm going to try giving him tonight. Yesterday she recommended we see a woman at Upstate for nutrition, swallowing and possible metabolic/allergy testing. I have to admit, I'm completely overwhelmed with feeding the little guy. Just this morning he woke up at 6:47, was happy until 7:15, cried until 7:47 and FINALLY drank 3 oz twisted in my arms so his chin rested on my chest and his belly on my belly.

    I know it will get better in time. I know if I make decisions I can be proud of with my own nutrition, it will set the right tone for Kellan as he gets older and is even more aware of food. But, right now, I just want junk food to soothe me. But I'll stay strong. Maybe a small handful of Cheetos and an extra veggie at dinner.

    How are YOU doing? I'm kinda monopolizing all our checkins!

    Homemade applesauce is on my agenda, too. I bought a bag of apples on Sunday since I'm not sure we'll be able to pick our own.

    I didn't get dinner... again. Instead I had some buffalo dip and tortillas as snack when I got home at 4:30. Kellan pitched a fit from 5-7 and I think he just wanted some of what I was eating rather than his food. We need to try more "table" foods, but I admit I'm nervous ... I'm doing most of this parenting thing on my own since Mike is gone so much... I might be more willing to try things if it wasn't just me all the time...

    I've noticed getting poor sleep makes me less dedicated. I made it through our 1/2 hour lunch (and we get no other breaks) but I was tempted to hop in the car and grab a bag of M&Ms or Cheetos. I'm hoping I get to my squash tonight... Enjoy your chicken, spinach and applesauce! Sounds delicious!
