Pic I posted yesterday, with one from just before this whole wonderful journey started for me. I was such a mess, and so unhappy with myself. Doesn't even seem that was really me. I was overweight and terribly unfit for almost 25 years, more than half my life, but the old me is gone forever.

my journey started when I saw a large collection of photographs in September 2010. I was horrified. How had I allowed myself to get to that stage? That was it, the kick in the butt I needed. Since then I have lost three and a half stone in actual weight, but gained quite a good amount of muscle along the way. So in reality I have obviously lost more than that in fat alone. Since then I have lost three and a half stone in actual weight, but gained quite a good amount of muscle along the way. So in reality I have obviously lost more than that in fat alone. In the last couple of years, I have gained qualifications in fitness instructing and personal training, and ETM (exercise to music) I currently work as a PT at my local gym, and am looking to get into teaching classes too. I am mid forties, type one diabetic, and a single mum of three boys. I also struggle with issues around compulsive eating. I used to drink quite heavily and smoked too. I now am smoke and alcohol free. Excuses are for the weak. I am nothing like weak anymore.
