A Better Life


I no longer want to lose weight just for the physical appearance of it all. That was always my motivation. As I get older I see how much my weight gets in the way of me living the life I want to have. I want more energy. I want to be able to wake up and go do whatever I think would be fun without my size or lack of athleticism being a factor. I want functional fitness and health. So...here I go.

My Goals:
- Do a regular push up
- Do a pull up
- Live life without concern that my size, weight or fitness level will keep my from doing what I want to do
- Shop in regular sizes
- Run a mile

My Program:
 Good old fashioned eat less crap and move more often. Eliminate sugar.

    Yes! I know, right! I barely recognize who I used to be that would put up with everything they did to me and our kids. I feel so much better, and more mentally clear and far, far stronger, once I just made that call of 'no more! I'm done!'

    (I should still probably spend some serious time on a therapist's couch before I try dating again, because it says something about me that I had two guys like that, and the first of the 3 relationships I've had, all 3 of them financially drained me... so, yeah, something broken on my side that I've passed up so many other nice guys for just guys that will use me... it needs addressing.)
