    I know just how you feel. I have just started this week. My goals are to move. I am swimming twice a week, but I can't control my eating yet. I am going to keep trying. I hope you do as well!

    I'm in a new and good mind set. I've been journalizing everything I eat plus planning ahead even snacks, I'm just counting calories which has been very easy. I'm also walking at least 30 min per day and plan on increasing every week up to 60 min. In my spare time I try to stay busy and away from the T.V. that really seems to help me not want to snack all night.

    I know you put you are journaling your diet but I think if you journal what triggers your eating and what is going on when you do grab something to eat, it will help you figure out what is causing the eating all the time. I learned about myself when I am on the phone that is when I nibble which I didn't realize.
    when you explore spark people resouces you will see it is not only going to change the wieght it is going to change you the person that you want to be.
    Maybe look at it as, not the things you can't do or eat anymore but the things you get to eat, do, explore, share and learn.

    I'm rlynne. I'm a bit in the same boat as you. I'm 41 and never been this heavy (not pregnant) in my life. I've been doing this about a week or so and lost 1 pound, only to gain it back. I'm going to keep plugging away though. How are you doing? I read your post and I could relate. This is the start of a new day. How's yours going?
