I am 60+ and noticed loss of flexibility and stamina more as the years piled up. I am no longer overweight and have reached my goal weight. I lost almost 80 pounds from my top weight. I am putting myself first for the first time in my life. I will continue to be relentless in the pursuit of a healthier me.

I've been with Spark People for 12 years now. I want to fully enjoy my retirement and improve my overall health! I 've had success in the past but only when I am consistent with using SP tools and resources. I've lost 80 pounds and my blood pressure is normal, thanks to all the tools and support from SP. I was able to eliminate one blood pressure medication. I no longer need to use CPAP.

My Goals:
I want to look and feel my best. I want to keep getting stronger and more fit. I want to keep my BMI less than 25 and stay in a normal weight range. I want to get off medication, if possible (a little unlikely given the family history). I want to sustain the healthy habits I've developed for the rest of my days.


My Program:
The steps I'm taking to get there: Stay active in SparkPeople with tracking fitness and nutrition. Regular exercise is a part of my life. I have greatly reduced white carbs and am working on limiting sodium. I recognize that I am a work in progress. I'm working on making ST a habit. I will continue to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and strive for consistent bedtime to ensure a minimum of 7 hours sleep a night.



Personal Information:
Closing in on 65, happily married with an adult son. I reached my goal weight in April 2020.

    Thanks for stopping by my page. I did yard work and cleaned the house and did laundry today. Seems like when Hubby has been home four days everything needs to be done.
    I was not feeling well on Saturday and barely got my steps in, trying to get at least 10000 a day but most days get more.
    I sent a huge bag of cucumbers and squash to work with Hubby today tomorrow will be banana peppers and hot peppers, the veggie garden is going strong.
    I am starting to save seed pods from the wildflowers we planted and cutting back several plants that need attention.
    Staying busy here hope your week is a good one.
