Cherishing Today and Improving for the Future
Welcome to my page. I am a 64 year old recently retired high school teacher who has an amazing husband, two wonderful sons (44 and 34), and two amazing granddaughters. I joined Spark People awhile ago, hoping to move forward in my quest to be in great shape. I have made progress, but mostly in strength and health. I had always been a healthy eater- both in what I chose and how much. I have felt too heavy for most of my life although I am somewhat active. 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with breast ...
Welcome to my page. I am a 64 year old recently retired high school teacher who has an amazing husband, two wonderful sons (44 and 34), and two amazing granddaughters. I joined Spark People awhile ago, hoping to move forward in my quest to be in great shape. I have made progress, but mostly in strength and health. I had always been a healthy eater- both in what I chose and how much. I have felt too heavy for most of my life although I am somewhat active. 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Now, I am on a related medication. Although, I am doing well, my weight journey slid backwards. I am very motivated to be as healthy as possible for my family and to be able to engage in activities I love such as biking and travel. So, 2021 is the year and I look forward to sharing the journey with you.
