I'm a super optimistic person and I love to motivate others; I just wish I could figure out how to motivate myself!!

I have 2 daughters (4 years and 2 year as of May 2012) a super skinny husband who has such high metabolism he sometimes forgets I struggle :) But he means well...he really does!! A neurotic cat, and a newly adopted German Shepherd mix who loves to give kisses. My husband recently returned from deployment so I'm getting back on track, taking it slow, but not too slow, just enough not to overwhelm myself.

I hope to spread the spark and motivate some other people as I work to motivate myself and reach my goals.

Fitness Minutes: 1,481

My Goals:
A healthier lifestyle. Being able to play with my daughter in the backyard on a sunny day. Being able to hike up a mountain with my husband. Being able to find clothing that fit me with out having to have my friend tailor them. Being able to touch my toes. I also want to lose 60 pounds before my husband returns from deployment in a year!

My Program:
Small steps. I'm just changing small details of my life, one by one. I'm not good with keeping up on big changes, but if it's small I think I can manage!

    Small changes - one food group, meal, adding in exercise, more water, whatever you choose to add/change will make a difference. Keep it consistent and you will see changes in no time!

    Keep posting and reaching out to your spark community. It helps to have support from people who know what you are going through.

    Thanks for your comment. This place does have kind of "leisurely" service, which I think is cultural, but this was way beyond that. Why they didn't think to bring bread early or prep the salads ahead, I don't know, and serving just a few people at a time is just not done. I was supposed to have chicken narinje, which has brown basmati rice with orange zest and pistachios, but got chicken kabul, with rice with currants and carrot, I think because they didn't want to do 2 kinds of rice. I also brought home some lamb korma for tonight and my friend had the kebab combination.

    I am appreciative that Gary decided we can afford for me to go to exercise classes. It is good for me to be out of the house. I have been a self-imposed recluse for far too long. Didn't make it to yoga today, but tomorrow is another day. Thanks for welcoming me back. I did miss all my SparkFriends.
