What SparkPeople Has Taught Me:

***Take Baby Steps***
I've learned how to cut my big goals down into much smaller ones. Taking small steps and having small successes has helped me stay within my calorie range and to workout regularly.

***Work out***
I've learned working out doesn't mean an hour a day. 10 minutes a day can make such a difference. I never thought I would ever say it, but - "I love working out". I've discovered different varieties of workouts - I don't have to do the same thing everyday. Finding new workouts and challenges has made working out fun. I can't wait to workout everyday.

***Forgive Yourself***
I've learned to forgive myself when I slip-up. We all have days that are just not right - eat too much, don't feel like working out. I've learned not to beat myself up over them. Yesterday is over. There's nothing I can do about it now. I can't change yesterday, but I 'can' get back on track and start fresh today.

Giving support is just as rewarding as getting support. Some days you just need that extra, "Don't give up. You can do it". to get through. Supporting others actually helps me stay on track.

I have struggled to lose these last 20 lbs. for months.
I am determined to do it this time.

I WILL lose weight!

My Program:
I will drink 8 cups of water a day.
I will learn to eat healthier and in smaller portions throughout the day.
I will track the food I have eaten - even if I slip.
I will track my fitness.
I will be kind to myself - no matter what.

Personal Information:
I'm 45 years old, married and have two wonderful teenage boys.

I live in Northern Michigan.

Other Information:
I am beginning this journey with a prayer everyday.

I am finding support and strength through God.

    Oh Suzanne, I've missed your birthday again, really sorry, I hope you had a good one! emoticon Just looked at your photos too, boy are your babies growing up! Your family looks a happy one though, hope so.

    I really love my goodie, thank you so much. I am feeling pretty good right now, thank you for your lovely comments. I took target at my Slimming World club 3 weeks before Christmas at 12 stone 9lbs and intend to maintain this weight 3lb up or down forever! I think I can.

    A big win for me is to keep a food diary especially for the extras, we are allowed 70 per week and for me its about making good choices where food is concerned (most of the time) - I am not always so rational! I am SO lucky to be in a good place in my life right now. Its a life long thing this managing our bodies isn't it! emoticon
