This is a wonderful recipe to make with your kids for Easter. You can find it and more Kid's recipes in my "Kids at Heart", my Sparkpeople cookbook at:
Place the cookie dough on a cookie sheet and place it in the oven, close the door and turn the oven OFF.
Give each child a piece of tape and seal the oven door. Explain that Jesus' tomb was sealed.
GO TO BED! Explain that they may feel sad to leave the cookies in the oven overnight. Jesus' followers were in despair when the tomb was sealed. Read John 16:20 and 22.
On Easter morning, open the oven and give everyone a cookie. Notice the cracked surface and take a bite. The cookies are hollow! On the first Easter Jesus' followers were amazed to find the tomb open and empty. Read Matt. 28:1-9

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I definitely do not underestimate the advantage of the more traveled road. In addition to quiet a few minor accidents, about once a year someone has a serious accident on the side road my hubby travels now. I worry every night. I'm so looking forward to his transfer for that reason more than any other. 3241 days ago
