Was looking for a way to keep track of everything I've been thinking and feeling over the past few weeks and to officially put an exclamation point on the beginning of my first ever true weight loss journey. Stumbled upon this Sparks page and decided to jump right in.
After a tremendously scary month- blacking out, getting told I had end stage kidney failure (turned out to be a false diagnosis) numerous doctors appointments and finding out I am pre-diabetic and have hypertension---I am here to learn tools and gain the support to really tackle my weight and health issues.
I was always a thin person until I had my twins at 19. I got up to 180 from 132. Had my other child and got up to 203lbs. And for the years since then I have hovered around 215-220.

Within last three years though, I have ballooned to a whopping 280lbs (at the heaviest I have EVER been). I didn't realize how big I was until I saw photos and even that couldn't have prepared me for the weight on the scale when I went to the doctor last month. I couldn't believe it.

That number plus the very serious health scare have done something in me that has never happened before. It woke me up. It moved me.

With the support of my husband (just been married 18 months) and kids (12 yr old twins and soon to be 10 yr old son) we have overhauled our house and set ourselves up for success. Family is amazing. But even more amazingly, I want to do this for me. Not just to see numbers fall off the scale, not just to see my body change, but to be healthy and around for a longer time with my kids and my family.

I have never saw the true need until now. Something has been sparked in me and I want to move forward. Strongly.

I have made a vision board, subscribed to many motivational people on you tube and am ON HERE to make friends and find inspiration from you all.

I bought a bike and have an immediate goal of riding 3 x a week//30 min each time.
and eating as clean as possible. And walking 5 miles a day.

I WANT TO LOSE 50LBS BY OCTOBER 27TH,

Then tackle and additional 50lbs by April 2016.

Lets get this thing started!!!!

Then go from 227 to 180 GOAL weight!


My Program:
Eating better. Riding bikes. Walking and utilizing the local Y. Open to ideas~!



Personal Information:
I am a 30 yr old, mother of 3, wife of the sweetest man on the planet. I love reading, writing and spoken word poetry and have a strong affection for tea and for the color purple, the actual color not the movie...LOL. I'm a christian and am from Glendale CA. I love my career in social services and want to be doing this type of work for the rest of my life!
