You are so right! The difficult times in our lives, no matter how unpleasant, will strengthen us. You realize that and that gives you a stronghold in Christ. Faith! When satan make us feel hopeless, he is a liar! Christ is our strength and His grace and power will get us through anything. II Corinthians 12: 9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Thank you Lord! 3355 days ago

Sorry to hear that! Anxiety will zap the very strength out of you until you can't function. Sometimes we cannot change our situations. We have to learn to become calm and have trust in the Lord. It isn't easy to do, because as human-beings we tend to fret. Another thing as human-beings we want to control our situations. When we can't then anger, anxiety, depression and a whole host of negative things set in. I have found when I do these things I have given the Devil a stronghold in my life. Anxiety is one of his favor things to torment us with. He can then attack our health, family, and our closeness to God. I have found comfort in the Bible. If you don't mind I can give you a few verses that helped me in times like these. Psalm 18:1-3, II Samuel 22: 2-4, Deuteronomy 31:8 (this is my favorite when I feel anxious). If you want me to type these verses out for you let me know. These can give you strength in knowing that God is there for you. Talk to God often. He is there waiting. I have prayed for you after I read you response. Remember balance doesn't come easy. We have to learn and practice it. Balance is planning (goals, food and exercise trackers for example). Balance is being aware of what affects you and knowing when to counterbalance those negative things that throws you off. When there is stress you must find your calm. I find mind in Christ and the Bible. Also read Ephesians 6:10-18. All these verses helps you in a time of stress and anxiety. Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let you requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds with Christ Jesus. God bless you and I hope you start feeling better soon. 3356 days ago
