Glad to come across SP so I can track what I am doing/not doing to produce accountability for myself. Like many others I tend to lie to myself until someone takes a picture of me or I see myself in a reflection and I don't even recognize myself or even worse.....I see my over weight mother looking back at me; someone I swore I'd never gain weight and be like. Having a long-term chronic pain condition like fibromyalgia has made managing my weight such a difficulty that it feels like a loosing battle. I'm here to prove that theory wrong and regain my youth....well, maybe not my youth, but I do want to feel good again. :) I have already discovered that I really like working out on the gym machines! Who knew?!

Was getting my swimsuit out to put in my gym bag and noticed a 2 piece bathing suit in the drawer. It was the first 2 piece I had owned and worn since I was 5yo. I bought it in 2008 after loosing all my weight. I went from a size 16-18 to a 10-12 and felt so great. That same year I was put on Cymbalta to manage FMS and that is when things turned south; the winter after such a great summer was a hard time with school (I'd returned to finish my BS) and relocating to a new town. I realized I want back into my 2 piece swimsuit! I may just hang it up in the bedroom to motivate me to work harder........maybe I should hang it on the entertainment center in the living room so I'll see each time I sit to watch tv........?

My Goals:
For years after graduating high school, I was still able to wear the same size jeans. Then, I dealt with 8 years of health altering issues until a chronic pain illness set in.......forget those jeans! Then I regained a bit of ability, got back into the jeans only to be forced back onto meds that caused 40 lbs of weight gain in less than 6 months!! Needless to say, I want those 40 gone and I want my jeans back!! I know the physical activity will help stave off the bouts of illness too if I'll maintain, here's to dedication.

My Program:
I am using SP to track my Nutrition and Fitness. It seems that when I see things "on paper" I tend to do better and maintain longer. Having things on a public forum like SP has produced accountiblity, which I don't have it seems. I'm watching calories, protein, and fat. So far, so good. Seems like I struggle most with getting enough protein....I don't each much meat and although I do eat beans........carbs are my problem area.

Personal Information:
I'm Staci. It's nice to meet you!

First and formost, I am a child of God, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

I have an AA from Lindsey Wilson College and a BS from Murray State University and I'm certified in American Humanics and Elijah House Prayer Ministry.

I work with CASA as the Executive Secretary to the BOD as well as the chairperson for the PR and Fundraising committee of the CASA BOD.

May 2011 update!! I got a job working for a state funded nonprofit in the social service field. I am so excited to get to return to work. WOW! God has definately made my life come full circle and nothing but the best ahead of us now.

Other Information:
I love to read. I usually have atleast 2 books at a time I'm working on. Currently I've been reading the Circle series of books by Ted Dekker. I've also got a book my R. C. Sproul started about Providence with God. Because of my job, I've been reading a new book every week on social service topics. The lastest one is about home visiting techniques.
