One morning, I'd like to wake up and think. Sod on this, I am worthy. And, then, just move on with the rest of my life. For now, there I am feeling like a reject. In fact, in the picture with my brother and sister, the thought that is running through my head is how awful this picture is going to turn out because I am fat. So, there it is.

I have a lovely daughter, Grace, who is six and is the absolute light of my life. My husband and I adopted her from China after years of heart wrenching, tear infested torment while trying to conceive. Grace came into our lives when we let go of that dream. I wish I had chosen Grace first and skipped all the emotionally hard work that goes into fertility treatments. Grace has filled my heart with so much love and joy. I had no idea....motherhood is such a gift.

This Advice comes from a comment on my blog page. I am posting it here until I get out and buy and try these items:

From Mrtyrose:
I try to eat a clean diet from whole food sources and avoid as much processed food as I can. I eat a lot of protein. I'm diabetic so I have to limit my carbs, fat, and sodium. Not always an easy balancing act!
There are many protein supplements, bars, powders etc out there but you should do some research before you decide to use those options. I prefer a natural source.
There is much debate about egg whites as a source of protein. They are an incomplete protein without the yolk. That being said...I love scrambled egg whites, usually with 1 whole egg thrown in.
I get most of my protein from lean meats and fish. Canned tuna is easy but you generally shouldn't have more than 1 can/week because of the toxins. I find it's just as easy to make extra fish/chicken/whatever when I cook and have the leftovers on hand. You avoid all the so

Thanks for adding me as a friend! I am honored.
My sympathy was for what you and your family went through when your brother was misdiagnosed. Since my mother has stage IV colon cancer and was diagnosed in Dec., I felt empathetic to all of you. I remember those first couple of days of hell. My mom is holding her own and looks and feels okay. Every day she has no pain is her birthday. At 87, I feel so blessed to have had such a beautiful mother all these years to be my friend.
Wishing you and yours a happy 4th! Eat, drink and be merry!!!!
    Come visit any time....
    Blessings, Mary Ann
