Starting Sparkpeople has made me more aware of my body and how I treat it--what goes into it and what moves it! I am slowly overcoming my self confidence and body issues--*slowly* but surely! I'm also focusing much more on my measurements than weight lately--while I would LOVE to come in at 135 lbs, I think my body is going to sit comfortably between 142-147. I'm coming to terms with that.

I've worked hard to cut out "junk"--I used to eat pizza and all kinds of goodies all the time. Now, I eat clean 95% of the time--although that's not to say I won't have some treats here and there! Life is boring without chocolate and pizza sometimes--I order half portions or share instead now =-)

My initial goals were to get down to 130; however, I'm focusing more on BF and measurements. Ideally I would love to get down to 19.5% body fat and measurements of 37-27.5-36 (getting there!). I record my measurements under my goals and my weight here. Currently, I don't have any "rewards" for myself...I considering being healthy, fit and lean and feeling FANTASTIC the best reward a girl can have!

Oh--and the ability to ROCK a bikini!

My Program:
Weight training 3xs a week (full body works for me), HIIT three times a week, yoga twice a week and steady state cardio for no longer than 35 minutes 2 times a week. .

I eat pretty clean (lean meats, lots of veggies, low carbs) and strive to get between .7-1.00 grams of protein per lb per day. Slight gluten intolerance....but I still give in to it on occasion



Personal Information:
Been married for a year and a half and trying to get myself back to a place I like, health wise.

I have the greatest group of friends and love to hang out with them. We are an absolutely ridiculous group of people! I also love to read--my Kindle is attached to me at all times. I crave the warmth of the spring and summer and love the beach--I've never lived more than 10 minutes from it and can't imagine living any further!

I'm adopted and know my birth mom--I'm very close to her!

I also love to travel--the hubs and I try to do one big trip a year along with a bunch of smaller trips.

I live 50 minutes outside of NYC...and never go. I live 2 and a half hours from Boston...and I'm always there!
