Wow! I can't believe it has been almost 11 years since I started on Sparkpeople the first time. I am now in my early 40s. I lost almost 50 pounds my first go around on here. I kept it off for awhile but then unfortunately I slacked off and it all came back. So I am back to see if I can do this again. I am tired of being tired and feeling yucky all the time. I just want to be healthier. I just need to make the time for myself. So, here goes!!

(This is what I wrote the first time. I just wanted to keep it here to remind me what I wrote then.)
I am in my early 30's and have struggled with my weight for most of my life. When puberty hit, the scale jumped up and has been increasing gradually over time. I have had ups and downs with my weight, as I'm sure most of the people on here have had. I am at my highest weight ever. I have never really cared for pictures of myself, but lately I can't even look at recent pictures of myself. (The pictures on my profile are about 2 years old). My sister is recently engaged and will be getting married sometime next spring. One of the reasons I would like to lose weight so that I will feel more comfortable with having my picture taken. But, also I want to be healthier. I found this site thanks to a close friend of mine who discovered it from a friend of his. I love that it is a free site and yet is more helpful than any paid site I have ever been on. This time I am determined and hopeful to lose the weight and more importantly keep it off and just be a healthier person overall.
