"You can't succeed at something you give up on!"

At the beginning, I decided it was time to spend some time focusing on me. Time to be honest with myself in order to change for the better. Crazy to say but the first 30 pounds seemed easy, the next 20 took a couple of years.

Like many others I've had successes and struggles. But along the way I've had people here at SP, my friends and family and all the resources I could ask for to help me continue moving forward.

The most important part for me has been to remember the joys about the changes in my life and how happy and grateful I am to recognize them.

Through the highs, lows and plateaus I remember the most important part is to keep going. Don't forget to live life at the same time and.... No matter what - life is always better healthy.

I'm really bad at this.... I usually decide to save my money instead. But, at some point when I feel good about it I'm buying myself a running skirt. - done!

Most of my extra reward funds go to race entries now .

    Thanks for your comment on my blog "Anorexic? Are You Kidding Me?" I think you're right, people get used to seeing me a certain way for years and years and it's a difficult adjustment seeing me as, for lack of a better word, "normal". Or healthy weight. Thanks again!

    Thanks for adding me as a friend. I love this line: "No matter what - life is always better healthy." So true and if we keep that in mind, that sure makes the effort involved in losing and maintaining weight a lot easier to choose to do.
