Earned my Level 13 trophy today!

My Goals:
Average sized clothes!
Lower blood pressure!
Lower cholesterol!
Lower BMI!
Younger appearance!
More self esteem!
More confidence!
More energy!
A regular and challenging workout routine!
Better relationship with food!
Improve muscle tone and definition!

My Program:
I plan to show up a to the gym at least 4 times a week.
I plan to try a variety of exercises.

I plan to conquer the elliptical machine -- I did it before; I can do it again!

I plan to make permanent changes for my sake and the sake of my family.

Personal Information:
I teach fourth grade. I have been teaching for 22 years. I have a little girl, 15.
I was a dancer and a soccer player in junior high, and a varsity cheerleader in high school. I know what it is like to be in shape and at a healthy weight. I miss it.
I lost my parents in 2006 and 2008. They both went too soon...and both form complications associated with obesity. I don't want to think that I might follow in their footsteps.
I have the support of a good doctor and lots of friends....and I have lost 65 pounds so far.

Other Information:
I spent 2010 making up for lost time. I lost 65 pounds over the course of a year and a half, and I continue to work on it. I have developed habits to take me through the rest of my life. Exercise is a reward now, not a punishment. Food and I have come to an understanding as well....
I am making goals for myself that a year ago I would have laughed at. NO MORE! I have seen what I am capable of....

    Happy, wonderful, fun day Tuesday!

    Guess what?

    Today I am celebrating my 38th birthday! I can’t explain it but for some reason…..I am super excited. Not about a gift or thinking it’s MY special day….I never really do anything special for birthdays and simply say thanks when people acknowledge it but this year I feel really good, really sexy, really pretty, really grateful, really loved, really hopeful, really just pretty darn GOOD!

    YES we can! Will you? Well I can tell you right now…I plan to have a LITTLE treat, stay in calorie range with healthy food choices and drink H2O but it’s a chosen rest day from exercise. Shhh……

    I hope you've enjoyed your weekend. I went to the flea market on Saturday....long day and it was super HOT! I have so much stuff to get rid of before I move in August. Today my hubby and friends took me out to dinner for my upcoming birthday, then to the mall---I purchased jackets for the kids for school and some Vicky Secret's Love Spell (that stuff smells GREAT—I think it's my favorite.)

    Can't say that I've been completely on track but not beating myself about it. Lifestyle not diet.

    Let's keep moving forward.

    We CAN do it!
