NAVYMOM133 So glad to hear you guys got away. New Orleans, awesome! Traveling and staying on track = Take a BOW! Good for you! Nothing so exciting here. Tony is dealing with the horrible flu this year so I have not been on much the last few days. I see you have some blogs for me to read - YAY! I will catch up with you tonight.

Thanks so much! I like http://www.halhigdon.com/assets/_legacy/ha lfmarathon/halfnovice.pdf
as a loose guide. I am more like walk 3-4 miles everyday I can and 1 day per week add a mile which is kind of what he does. So this Sat 4, next Sat 5 etc. I just walk- don't think my bladder could handle the impact of anything else even if I could. Sorry if TMI. Anyway that is what I did last time and it worked well. I like my treadmill and usually would keep it at 3-4% incline for extra calorie burn but occasionally go up to mimic a big bridge on the race course- our only hills down here.... 3013 days ago

Unfortunately my journey is back at the beginning. My mom died unexpectedly in June, and I went on an emotional bender. I call it my 23 pounds of grief. Mentally I am in a better place so I am getting back on track. It helps seeing what the old gang is up to. 3016 days ago

Funny how you could guess exactly when & where my marathon will be! My younger son will be doing the half that day - his first. We're kinda doing an 'in memory' thing. With the last name 'Mulligan' and the Shamrock actually being on St. Patrick's day, it just all sort of fits.
Where in the south did you land? I hear you on the heat killing. I'm really enjoying the weather we're having here now. My last few runs have been in the 50's to lower 60's - just perfect!
I'm still trying to make myself get back to serious tracking & mindful eating. I can do pretty good for about 60% of the time - but I know I won't make any real progress until I get that up to about 95%! I'm a work in progress...as usual! 3063 days ago
