I'm 44 years old. I have a 6 year old and 4 year old twins - my pregnancies were great, but my second pregnancy quite dramatically affected my ability to stay fit - I'm not doing too badly, but I definitely want to get back to my pre-baby weight. Interestingly enough, my clothes don't fit much differently, but I have fat on my abdomen that I'm not used to having. I'm determined to drop this weight! I've invited a bunch of friends to help me to be accountable for my efforts, which is really helping keep me motivated (something I'm having REAL trouble doing on my own right now!).

New quotes to add to my motivation:

Fitness Minutes: 10,886

My Goals:
I have REACHED my goal. So proud and happy to say that al my work has finally paid off. I am now a licensed, working ZUMBA Fitness instructor and loving every minute of it!

My Program:
I'm following the SparkPeople nutrition guide, eating lots of whole grains, fruits and veggies, drinking plenty of water, and getting as much exercise as I can!
I've been doing Zumba once a week at my local Community Centre and I just started a running program. I intend to do a 10K in April and be down 10 pounds (or more) by then!

    Hey Corinne, Thanks for checking in. I've found it hard to stay focused on weight loss since I got sick. So naturally I've gone up a couple - well 4 lbs to be honest. I'm avoiding the scale these days. I've lost my motivation I guess. Jenn is back up here now and we're going for a walk today. So I'm determined to get back on track as of today. I will start tracking my food again, I know that's the key. I'm feeling 99% better. No more pain, TG. I do still get dizzy for whatever reason. I'm seeing my Dr. next week for results of the millions of tests they did. But I think I'll survive :) Thanks again for keeping in touch. It helps.

    Hi SP Buddy, You're so right about the chocolate bars. I do need to take control of those myself. They're still in the house and I see them every day when i go into the office. So far I haven't been tempted - maybe 'cause they're not my favourite anyway. If I was tempted I would track the calories, etc. but it's best not to have them around. I'll put them at the door for Art to take out to his shop later.

    Jen downloaded some Zoomba classes for us so I might give that a try today. I love dancing and this looks like fun. Will have to take it easy though, ruddy back still playing up a bit.

    I'm staying steady at 3 lbs gone since Jan. 1st which is great since I celebrated with a nice bottle (almost) of wine on my birthday :) I tracked the calories so I was good. How are you doing with the weight loss this time?

    Won't be at chorus tonight, still not over the cold either. Hope to see you next week. Maybe we can talk about the "Houston Challenge"? Have a great day and enjoy rehearsal tonight. Hugs, xo
